Sting, Stewart Copeland and Andy Sumers formed in 1977 the one that came to define the concept of power trio among bands: the Police. The three musicians tried to form a punk band, but they were too good for that and created their own style that mixes rock, reggae and pop.

Before forming the group, Sting (Gordon Sumner) was a teacher and Stewart was already involved in music. The group started playing in London pubs and made money at night. Before Summers, the group had Padovani as the master of drumsticks, but due to disagreements, the musicians were changed…..
