‘Clown’s Revenge’ from Stewart Copeland’s Police Diaries

This 1977-recorded track features Stewart’s brother Ian on vocals, with Stewart playing all of the instruments. It was recorded at the Mayfair ‘squat’ they shared for a while, which was where Sting and Stewart first rehearsed together (in December 1976). Listen carefully and you might be able to detect the sound of The Police being formulated, and they played it several times at gigs in 1977.
