Popular musician Travis Barker has blazed the trail through his drum work in bands like Blink-182, The Transplants, The Aquabats, & more. In recent years, Barker has increasingly lent himself to essentially every artist that wants to have him play drums on a track, leading to an influx wave of “Travis Barker features” that I feel have lost all meaning. Let’s talk about why one drummer leads to homogenized sounds, and what I think Barker could do to erase the issue.

If you’re reading this, drop a comment letting me know your favorite / least favorite Travis Barker collab. Thanks for watching/liking this episode of The Think Tank!

In this video I talk about the problems I have with Travis Barker features, from the early days to his more modern work with Run the Jewels, Busta Rhymes, and others on his album “Give the Drummer Some”, and now current day his featured guest spots with artists such as Escape the Fate, Willow Smith, LIGHTS, Iann Dior, YUNGBLUD, Machine Gun Kelly, Jasiah, nothing nowhere, Demi Lovato, Halsey, James Arthur, Lil Nas X, GHOSTEMANE, Yelawolf, KennyHoopla, and loads more. Sit back to see what I have to say on the topic.
