In 1955, the musical attraction the Golden Horseshoe Revue opened at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, starting a trend of every amusement park having a musical attraction that wasn’t a ride.
In 1959, The Coasters recorded the song Poison Ivy.
In 1962, The Beach Boys signed their record contract with Capitol Records.
In 1964, Connie Smith recorded the song Once a Day.
In 1966, the supergroup Cream was formed.
In 1967, Arlo Guthrie performed his song Alice’s Restaurant at the Newport Folk Festival.
In 1972, Smokey Robinson played his last concert with the Miracles.
In 1974, Alan Osmond of The Osmond Brothers married his wife Suzanne Pinegar.
In 1976, the duo of Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina broke up. Kenny Loggins went on to have a successful solo career.

In 1994, the Broadway show Sisters Rosensweig closed.
